Richards Camp is a small traditional and exclusive tented camp in true African safari style.  It is located on the edge of forest in the Maasai Mara conservation area just outside and to the north west of the Masai Mara National Reserve.  The owner of the camp, Richard Roberts, who runs the camp, has spent 25 years living in the Masai Mara and has extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna.

There are 7 tents with twin or double beds and en-suite facilities, including bucket showers for the true explorer experience.  There are also some triple tents.  24 hour light is provided by the camp’s solar system.  An open air Victorian bath in the forest surrounded by candles where you can bathe in a romantic atmosphere is an experience not to be missed.

There is a cosy sitting room with a log fire where you can sit and read or chat to your companions on chillier evenings and also an indoor dining room, but meals are most often enjoyed outside under the stars in the warm African evenings.
